The theory of neurofeedback is based on a simple concept – when you have information on your brainwaves, your brain can use that information to change how it works. BrainCore Neurofeedback is also known as EEG Biofeedback.

How Does BrainCore Neurofeedback Work?
Before training sessions begin, an assessment and mapping is performed. This mapping allows the technician to determine whether a client’s brainwave patterns are normal or not. The technician can explain the results. Once the mapping is determined, the patient’s brain waves are monitored by a computer using wires and sensors. The computer records their brainwave activity. These sensors are noninvasive, with no electrical stimuli. The sensors simply record the brain waves coming from the brain.
Information about these brain waves is displayed on the technician's monitor. The software automatically detects if the brainwaves are in proper order. It passes that information back to the patient. This feedback appears in the form of a game, movie, or sound which signals the patient that the brainwaves are becoming more ordered. The patient watches an image of a puzzle that is constructed piece by piece. If the patient’s brain waves are moving in order, the puzzle pieces are filled in and the patient hears a tone. If the brainwave moves away from the proper order, then the puzzle is not filled in properly, and the tone is not heard. The patient is actually controlling the completing of the puzzle with their brain and by doing so the brain is learning how to regulate itself.
